People Counting and Capacity Monitoring

Then read on, this is where we can help!

Changing Trends

The trend in Nightclubs, Discotheques, and Leisure Entertainment is towards Multi-Themed Venues or Nightclubs with an adjoining bar and linked themed rooms. This then brings issues with fire regulations and occupancy control as each area or room will have an maximum allowed capacity. An additional complication would be where each of these clubs has a street entrance as well as a link to one, two or more areas of the venue with patrons being able to move freely between each of the areas. So how do you ensure that areas do not exceed capacity while not causing any impedance to the patrons?

Capacity Monitoring

CRAMS has been developed for this very reason. The need to monitor several areas within one and demonstrate that individual room capacities are been adhered to is becoming more important to Licensing Officers. Some recent tragedies around the world and consequent loss of life have brought the issue of overcrowding to the fore and Local Authorities are looking for more assurances from responsible operators and owners.

Overall Control

To enable overall occupancy control of the venue the system displays the current status of all areas at every control point. This allows door management staff to be able to see the venue status at a glance rather than have to contact other doors to get updated information, which in a busy venue may be inaccurate by the time it is all collated. With CRAMS the screen display is updated every 5 seconds with data collected in real time.
